E-Learning Interactive Solar System

Welcome to the Interactive Learning Module for the Solar System. This learning module is to teach 5th Grade students, basic facts about the Solar System. It will present information about the Solar System and it's parts, the Sun, the Planets, and both Asteroid Belts. The Learning Goals of this module are, to have each student indicate in an interactive test:

  1. Where the Planets are located, either in the Inner Solar System, or the Outer Solar System.
  2. Whether Planets are Terrestrial, Gas Giants, or Ice Giants.
  3. Which Planets have Moons and Satellites, and which have no Moons or Satellites.

Users will have their test scores stored in a database for their educators to access. All the information herein was obtained from NASA's online Solar System database and is available as a PDF from the download menu, or by visiting www.nasa.gov. This Web Site has two main sections, the Information section and the Test section. Both are set up as independent  Web Sites and can be viewed concurrently, in separate windows, so as to be navigated at the users own pace.
The Information section is separate pages, all linked together, each about a different area of the Solar System. All of the Web Pages have an Information and Video section, which include text, videos, and hi-resolution image downloads. The Test section is accessed via the green test button. This section only requires the user to register, or, log In with an e-mail and a password.
